Beauty 101: Brushes

Hello everyone, how are you guys doing today? Recently some of you requested me to write some posts about makeup basics, how to get started, what tools to get... As always i am more than happy to write about something that you guys want so today it's the first episode of Beauty 101, your weekly guide to the beauty world.
Usually when girls start building their makeup collection they get eyeshadows, mascaras, lipsticks but they usually forget to purchase something to apply with.
Brushes are really important and they can improve considerably your skills in doing your makeup.
In my opinion a basic kit should include:

1.  a powder brush  (to apply powder or bronzer)
2.  a flat kabuki  (to apply foundation or to blend blush and bronzer)
3.  an eyeshadow brush  (to apply eyeshadows all over the lid)
4. a crease brush  (to apply eyeshadows in the crease and to blend)
5. an angled blush brush ( to apply blush or bronzer) 

 I like natural bristles better than synthetic ones because they are easier to clean and softer on the skin but some brands make great synthetic  brushes.  Some makeup artists say that synthetic bristles are more hygienic  than natural one but i don't necessarily agree. Another important thing to consider, is purchasing brushes that have a good quality handle because if the quality is poor they will tend to break  or unstuck leaving you with a sad broken brush.
My personal favorite brusher are the Zoeva Bamboo brushes, they are ecological and made out of bamboo, they are incredibly soft and easy to clean and really cheap; for a 12 brushes and a case it's only 30€. I also really like Mac's brushes, of course, but they are much more expensive. In particular i love the blush brush 129, the very famous eyeshadows brush 124 and the crease brush 222.
If you want something incredibly cheap i recommend Elf brushes, the quality is not incredible but they are very soft and substantial and they are only 2€ each, you can't go wrong with that price.


Ciao a tutti, come state oggi? Recentemente alcuni di voi mi hanno chiesto di scrivere qualche post riguardo le basi del make-up: come iniziare, cosa comprare... Come sempre sono più che felice di accontentarvi, ragion per cui oggi inauguro una nuova rubrica settimanale chiamata makeup 101 (o makeup per principianti)
Generalmente quando si inizia a costruire la propria collezione di trucchi si cominciano ad acquistare ombretti, rossetti, mascara ma ci si dimentica molto spesso dei pennelli. Questi simpatici strumenti possono migliorare notevolmente le vostre abilità nell'applicazione.
Io credo che per iniziare i pennelli che non possono mancare nella trousse siano:

1. il pennello da cipria ( per applicare ciprie in polvere o compatte)
2. un flat kabuki ( per il fondotinta o per sfumare il blush o la terra)
3. un pennello piatto da ombretto ( per applicare l'ombretto)
4. un crease brush o pennello da sfumatura (per sfumare l'ombretto)
5. un pennello angolato da blush (per il blush o il bronzer) 

In linea di principio preferisco le setole naturali a quelle sintetiche poichè le trovo più semplici da pulire e più morbide sulla pelle tuttavia alcuni makeup arist ritengono che i pennelli sintetici siano più igenici di quelli naturali, non sono pienamente d'accordo però devo riconoscere che alcuni brand producono setole sintetiche che mi piacciono molto. 

Un'altra cosa importantissima da considerare quando si pensa di acquistare dei pennelli è controllare che la qualità del manico e delle giunture siano buone, perché in caso contrario con l'uso, il pennello tenderà a sfaldarsi lasciandovi con un misero bastoncino spennacchiato. 

Se dovessi consigliarvi dei prodotti in particolare probabilmente sarebbero il Bamboo set della Zoeva, vegano, con manico in bamboo, morbidissimo e affordabile; per 30€ avrete 12 pennelli e un'astuccio in cui riporli. Ovviamente vi consiglierei i pennelli della Mac, decisamente più costosi ma ottimi, in particolare il 129 da blush, l'immancabile 124 da ombretto e il 222 da crease. 

Se voleste qualcosa di estremamente economico ma comunque di buona fattura vi direi di acquistare i pennelli Elf, la finitura non è eccezionale ma sono morbidi e costano appena un paio di euro l'uno.
