2013

2013 has been amazing, sad, surprising, crazy, emotional, challenging...all at once
It has been the freshman year at university, the year i opened this blog and became an active content creator on Youtube. It has been the year i moved to Milano and started living by myself, the year i went to New York City and explored Italy.
Tonight is new year's eve and i find myself thinking back at the past 365 days and feeling thankful for everything that has happened to me, the good and the bad. I feel like this past year flew by so fast and i can't wait to find out what 2014 will bring me.
I would like to thank all of you for making this year so special, every comment every likes makes me feel motivated to do more, to challenge myself with this blog and the youtube channel.
I would also like to thank my friends for being so amazing and supportive.
I wish you all the best 2014 possible and i really hope all your wishes will come true

Il 2013 è stato fantastico, triste, sorprendente, stravagante, emozionante, impegnativo...tutto allo stesso tempo.
E' stato l'anno in cui ho iniziato l'università, in cui ho aperto questo blog ed ho iniziato a postare video attivamente su Youtube. E' stato l'anno in cui mi sono trasferita a Milano, l'anno in cui ho iniziato a vivere da sola, l'anno in cui sono finalmente andata a New York City ed ho esplorato l'Italia.
Sta sera è capodanno e mi trovo a ripensare a tutto ciò che è successo in questi passati 365 giorni e mi  sento molto grata per tutto ciò che ho vissuto, brutto e bello.
Non vedo l'ora di scoprire che cosa il 2014 avrà in serbo per me. 
Vorrei ringraziarvi tutti dal primo all'ultimo per aver reso quest'anno speciale; i vostri commenti, i like e le visualizzazioni mi danno la carica per fare sempre meglio.
Vorrei anche ringraziare i miei amici e la mia famiglia per avermi supportata e sopportata questo 2013. Spero sinceramente che tutti i vostri desideri si avverino e che abbiate un 2014 incredibile.

Good morning guys, how are you all doing? Christmas is already over sadly but i am looking forward to new years's eve. Few weeks ago as suggested by some of my youtube friends i tried Vlogging, now if you are not familiar with vlogs, it basically a video diary of my day. I love watching other people's so i figured i would try filming it myself. I don't know if i'll start doing it more regularly because i don't know if you guys kind it interesting.

WAITING FOR SANTA: Christmas party outfit ideas

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
I wish you all happy holidays, enjoy time with the people you love and make some memorable moments.
That being said, today i would like to suggest you guys some outfits for Christmas parties. Boxing day and the days that follow it are always full of invitations from different people to attend different celebrations and i always run out of outfit ideas really quickly.
I have thought of 2/3 different looks that in my opinion could be perfect for any holidays party.
You can dress them down or up, they are very comfortable and easy to pull off.
I hope you'll find them useful.

Dal più profondo del mio cuore auguro a tutti voi un felice Natale da passare con chi amate.
Detto questo, vi vorrei proporre alcuni outfit per le feste; non so voi ma i giorni che seguono S.Stefano sono sempre colmi di inviti e spesso diventa difficile non esaurire le idee per i look. Oggi ho pensato per voi 2/3 outfits, sono tutti estremamente comodi, portabilissimi e facili da rendere più o meno eleganti.
Spero vi siano di aiuto :)

I mean, to me red velvet just screams Holidays! If you want to keep this outfit super casual just pair it with black biker boots and a funky cardigan, you will look effortlessly-chic, the final touch is a eye-catcher clutch, i am in love with this Grinch one, i need it so bad.

If you feel a little bit more girly but still want to look casual go for a sequined blazer or a dressier blazer and pair it with some cute flats and an unique clutch; don't forget golden jewelry.

If you have a hot date or if you just want to feel like a million dollars, i would go for this femme fatale outfit, the sequined red dress with the deep cut in the front is too sexy to handle; paired with a statement coat, some stilettos, jewelry and of course your favorite red lipstick, it's pure magic. The dress doesn't have to be necessarily sequined if you don't feel comfortable wearing it, just go for a festive sexy red dress.

WAITING FOR SANTA: Last minute gifts idea.

The more closer we get to Christmas eve, the less i feel i got done. I feel like a have still a million things to do and not enough time but i had to sit down and write a new post, it's been too long.

We all have those last minute presents to buy and sometimes i really feel lost, i don't want to buy the first think i see because i try to put as much effort as i can into presents, i really want people to like them. But sometimes the simpler things are the best gifts. I love home decor, some of my friends call me a desperate housewife because i'm only twenty and i get very excited for home forniture; but i mean everything is just so cute and adorable how can you not love it!

Therefore here's a selection of my favorite trow pillows and mugs at the moment, they are super affordable and incredibly cute, they are perfect for that last minute gift.

Who need diamonds, a mug is forever...unless you have a cat but that's a whole other story.

Più ci avviciniamo al Natale e più cose ho da fare, ho sempre l'impressione di aver trascurato qualcosa o qualcuno ma dovevo necessariamente sedermi a scrivere questo post, è passato troppo tempo.

Abbiamo tutti quei regali dell'ultimo minuto che spesso risultano i più difficili da portare a termine, non si vuole acquistare la prima cosa che si trova ma non ha neanche il tempo necessario a cercare il regalo perfetto. A volte le cose più semplici risultano le più apprezzate.

Adoro tutto ciò che riguarda la casa, arredamento e decorazione e così via; alcuni dei miei amici mi chiamano casalinga disperata perché nonostante io abbia solo vent'anni mi esalto per articoli di home decor. Sono così belli come posso farne a meno!

Dunque ecco una selezione delle  tazze e cuscini decorativi che preferisco al momento, sono tutti molto economici e credo siano perfetti per un regalo dell'ultimo minuto.

Altro che diamanti, una tazza è per sempre... a meno che non abbiate un gatto come me ma questa è un'altra storia.

WAITING FOR SANTA: A day on the Duomo

Hey everyone, today i would like to share with you guys an outfit of the day i shoot few days ago when my best friends came to visti me in Milano.
If you happen to be in the city on a clear blue sky day i highly recommend  to go on top of the Duomo like we did; the view is breathtaking, it's one of the very few times you would be able to see the mountains that surround Milano. The contrast between the concrete of the city and the daintiness of nature is truly beautiful.
I managed to climb the 200 steps that take you on top in my Burberry stiletto boots, quite an achievement!
I kept my outfit and makeup very simple, the only accent of extravagance is the Arctic Monkeys beanie.

Ciao a tutti, oggi vorrei condividere con voi un outfit che ho scattato non molto tempo in occasione della visita dei miei migliori amici a Milano. 
Se doveste trovarvi anche voi a visitare la città un giorno e foste così fortunati da beccare il cielo terso, vi consiglio di salire in cima al duomo. La vista è impagabile, si riescono a vedere le montagne che circondano la città ed il binomio paesaggio urbano-naturale è incredibile. 
Non so come ma sono riuscita a scalare i 200 gradini che portano fino alla cima con degli stivaletti a lancia Burberry, ne vado abbastanza fiera. 
L'outfit in se è molto semplice esattamente come il makeup, l'unico accento stravagante è forse il beanie degli Arctic Monkeys a cui sono molto affezionata.

WAITING FOR SANTA: Festive Red Velvet Cupcakes

Good morning everyone, if it's morning when you are reading this otherwise never mind; i don't know about you guys but i love baking so much especially at Christmas time, it's one of my favorite holidays activities.
So today i decided to share with you a tutorial i filmed recently on how to bake festive red velvet cupcakes. I don't know if it's the color of these pretty little treats but they just scream Christmas to me.

Today i would like to introduce to you two cool companies that i have recently discovered.

WAITING FOR SANTA: Beauty gifts 25-50€

Hello everyone! Wow, it's already the 8th of December, time if flying by. I have so many posts and videos planned and in development that i am more than thrilled to share with you guys.
Today is going to be the second episode of my beauty gifts guide and i am going to cover the price range of 25-50€ which is a nice amount of money to spend on a present so let's see if i can help you out making the most out of it.

The first gift is one of the items that if i didn't own already i would love to receive for Christmas. The Beautyblender is a smart little makeup sponge that makes foundation and concealer application so much easier and flawless. This pack contains not one but two of them plus the cleanser.  The second gift is from one of my favorite makeup companies ever, Benefit Cosmetics. I am incredibly pale as some of you guys might know so it's no surprise that i like myself some nice bronzer. I love the Hoola bronzer by Benefit but it can be kind of expensive to splurge on; this gift pack makes it all better! You get the bronzer, the brush a lipgloss. an amazing moisturizing concealer, a bonzy eyeshadow and a deluxe sample of foundation.

 The third one is from a brand that is slowly stealing every makeup guru's heart :OCC. These lip tar are revolutionary! If you love lipstick you will love these super glossy pigmented lip tints and getting a whole bunch of them is incredibly amazing to me. You need the smallest amount of product and you will have crazy pigmented lips all day long.

 Soap and Glory is such a classic, everyone loves it. Their products not only have brilliant packaging  but they are really good quality. If you want to introduce a friend to this brand than this is the gift for you.

 I have showed you guys the smaller version of this palette in my previous post and here's the big sister! The Joy to the girls palette is just so pretty, pigmented and festive; no need to say more.

Last but not least, six amazing lip glosses from Stila. These babies are so popular in the beauty industry and i would love to receive this pack with all their best ones so i could switch everyday the color of my lips. Pefect for those girls who are just starting to get into makeup.

Hello everyone, i am so excited to be doing my waiting for Santa series again this year, i was really pleased with the response last year therefore i decided to bring it back.
I have realized that is been a while since my last beauty post and since this blog is supposed to be mainly about beauty, well, shame on me.
Yesterday i went browsing at Sephora with some girlfriends and i found some pretty lil gift sets that would be perfect for Christmas. Since they are way too many to put in a single post, i decided to divide them by price range.
This post includes all the gifts under 25€, i hope you guys will like it.

Salve a tutti, sono molto contenta di ripresentare anche quest'anno la rubrica "waiting for santa" grazie all'ottimo feedback ricevuto l'anno scorso.
Ho notato che è passato un po di tempo dall'ultimo post dedicato al makeup così ho deciso che era tempo di rimediare.
Ieri facendo un giro da Sephora con alcune amiche mi sono accorta di quante adorabili confezioni di Natale alcuni beauty brand abbiano realizzato per le feste.  Poiché sarebbero troppi da mostrare in un solo post, ho deciso di dividerli per fascia di prezzo; oggi vi parlerò dei regali fino a 25 euro. Spero vi piacciano. 

This palette by Too Faced is the small version of the big "Joy to the girl", it includes a bronzer, a blush and 8 eyeshadows. I swatches all of them and they are really pigmented.

Questa palette di Too Faced è sorella minore della palette "Joy to the girl". Include un bronzer, un blush e otto ombretti. Li ho personalmente swatchati e sono molto pigmentati. In particolare adoro l'ombretto dorato che questo set contiene, è incredibile.

Also from Too Faced with super compact mini palette is perfect to trow in your purse and it contains 8 super pigmented eyeshadows, a bronzer, a blush and a lipgloss. 

Sempre della Too Faced questa minuscola palatina da borsetta è perfetta per ritoccare il trucco fuori casa; contiene un bronzer, un blush, otto ombretti e un gloss. Il packaging a mio avviso è adorabile.

 If you are a fan of the Naked, you will love this set of nail polishes inspired to the iconic palette. They are very easy to wear and perfect for the season. 

Se siete delle fan della Naked, adorerete questo set di smalti ispirati alla celebre palette. Sono molto portabili e perfetti per la stagione.

 If you are into eyeshadows more than nail polishes than i would suggest the naked basics, is compact and has 6 beautiful matte neutral eyeshadows. This palette is perfect for that friend that doesn't love to step out of her comfort zone in makeup. This palette wouldn't be exactly my cup of tea just because i'm not big into matte eyeshadows but they look amazing on most girls.

Se preferite gli ombretti agli smalti allora vi consiglio la Naked basics, contiene sei ombretti neutri e matte. Perfetti per le ragazze che non amano osare molto con il makeup. Ad essere completamente sincera io probabilmente non la sceglierei per me stessa ma solo perché gli ombretti matte non mi stanno molto bene ma sono sicura che siano perfetti sulla maggior parte delle ragazze.

 I don't know about you guys but "Malaga wine" is my favorite OPI red nail polish ever, it has a stunning blue undertone that i adore. This quod had some of the best reds OPI has to offer in one convenient little box.

Non so voi ma "Malaga wine" è uno dei miei smalti preferiti della OPI; questo quod contiene quattro degli smalti più celebri del brand in un solo colpo. 

 I really like this small set of makeup brushes it's very chic and i particularly like the holographic pochette. 

Mi piace molto questo set di pennelli di Sephora, è molto elegante e la pochette olografica  è fantastica.

 This last one palette has to be my favorite thing overall, it's from Too Faced and it's the size of an Iphone5. You get all those beautiful eyes shadows and an iphone case! I think it's girly and very fun to gift someone. 

Quest'ultima palette è probabilmente la mia preferita in generale del post; è sempre della Too Faced ed ha le dimensioni di un Iphone5. Non solo contiene bellissimi ombretti e blush ma la confezione esterna è una cover per telefono. Credo sia un'idea carinissima e molto originale da regalare a qualcuno. 

NOVEMBER FAVORITES

Hello sweetie-pies and happy first of December! Only 24 days to Christmas, kind of exciting isn't it.

Ma buongiorno crostatine e felice primo di dicembre. Solo 24 giorni al Natale, entusiasmante e inquietante allo stesso tempo. 
Non so quale miracolo sia successo ma sono riuscita finalmente a caricare i miei preferiti di Novembre su Youtube, generalmente tutti i miei tentativi di portare a termine un video preferiti falliscono miseramente.
